Tap the Safe

Tap the Safe ("we," "our," or "the app") is a casual puzzle game operated by Shissou. This policy explains the information handled when you play.

Information handled

  • Optional anonymous player identifier: if you enable Online Rankings, Firebase creates an anonymous ID so the app can submit scores and operate shared leaderboards without requiring an email address or social login. No Firebase account is created if you choose offline play.
  • Optional public game profile: if Online Rankings are enabled, the app sends your chosen vault alias, selected cosmetic, score, rank, attempts, completion times, and relevant challenge statistics to Firebase. The app offers a generated alias suggestion, and these details may be visible to other players.
  • Local gameplay data: progress, attempts, completion times, streaks, rewards, and settings remain on the device unless they are included in the optional leaderboard data described above.
  • Purchases: Apple processes the Tap the Safe Premium purchase. The app reads product ownership and transaction status directly through StoreKit so it can unlock or restore Premium. We do not receive payment-card details.
  • Support: if you email us, we receive the address and content you choose to send.

How information is used

We use information to run the game and optional shared leaderboards, restore purchases, grant benefits, prevent abuse, answer support requests, and improve reliability and balance.

Service providers

Information is processed by providers needed to operate the app, including Apple, Google Firebase, Expo/EAS, and Cloudflare. Their handling is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Version 1.0 contains no advertising SDK. We do not sell personal information or use app data for cross-app tracking.

Leaderboards and social safety

If you enable Online Rankings, your chosen alias, cosmetic, and score may be visible to other real players. The app tells players not to use a real name or personal information, filters common objectionable aliases, and offers a generated suggestion. Players can report another player and block that player's entries on their device. Computer-generated scores do not participate in global rankings.

Retention and deletion

Local gameplay data remains until you delete your account and progress or remove the app. Online data is retained while needed to provide and protect the service. To delete only the anonymous account and leaderboard entries while keeping local progress, disable Online Rankings in Settings. To delete both online data and local game data, open Settings → Delete Account & Progress. If a control fails or the app is unavailable, follow the deletion instructions or email [email protected].

Apple may retain transaction records for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Deleting game data does not erase Apple's transaction record or remove your ability to restore an eligible purchase.

Children

Tap the Safe is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

You may play entirely offline, enable or disable Online Rankings in Settings, choose a vault alias or use a generated suggestion, block or report players, delete only your anonymous online account, or delete your account and all local game data from Settings.
